REVIEW: The Color Morale – Hold On Pain Ends

Hold On Pain Ends is a fourth album of Illinois based post-hardcore band The Color Morale (via Fearless Records) and it has been played too many times, especially, the starting track ‘Damnaged’, which is perfect to start off an album. Being very fan-interacting, the content and message of an album can be guessed from its name, it can definitely help to go through hard times.

‘Prey For Me’ saw a world before the album release, so it is without a doubt makes you listen to its catchy chorus all over again and again and again.

The album also includes a special appearance from Dave Stephens (We Came As Romans) in ‘Suicide Stigma’ and Craig Owens (Chiodos) in ‘Developing Negative’, tracks of which are definitely contagious. Nonetheless, most of these songs are perfect for a gig making the job harder for 5-piece to make a set list! But, ‘Developing Negative’ and ‘Outer Demons’ is a must sing!

Finishing off with ‘Throw Your Roses’ – a perfect fit to prepare you for ‘Hold On Pain Ends’, the album definitely left something for you to think about. An acoustic finish is always a good choice for a catchy-12-song masterpiece.
